Device fitting - eye dominance

For optimal performance, and for maintaining peak situational awareness in hazardous environments, the display on a RealWear headset needs to sit underneath your dominant eye.

Check which is your dominant eye

Although your dominate eye and hand are usually the same, it isn't uncommon for those to be different. Getting it wrong can really affect the quality of the headset performance. Finding out if you're left-eyed or right-eyed is simple:

Holding your hands out straight in front of you, connect your index fingers and thumbs, creating a triangle

Using both eyes, focus through the triangle on a small object on your desk - a mouse or phone, for example
Close your left eye, then open. Close your right eye, then open. When you close one of these eyes, the object appears to move outside of the triangle, or at least shifts distinctly towards the edge
Your dominant eye is the one where the object does not move outside the triangle when you close the other eye.
